How time flys, it is now March 23, 2011, and I looked back in my records and found that until now I have not done any serious work on the Monte Carlo.
The winter of 2010/2011 seemed awful long, not on the calendar, (that always stays the same), but it seemed to me that it was really, really cold this year. The garage was not the most friendly place to be this winter.
As I mentioned it has been since December of 2010 since I did any real work on the car. I am now ready to do the third paint attempt. The paint has been received, I am starting to mask the car, and in a week or two, depending on the weather, (which is not too predictible this time of year), I will paint it again.
Hopefully, soon, I will be able to update the site with some pictures of a pretty paint job.
Well, here it is. Painted and curing. Painted the car again, 3rd time, on April 3, 2011. I would like to thank Charlie Hutchenson of Headlee's Body Shop in Flora, Illinois, for his instructions and guidance. Charlie gave up a Sunday afternoon to help get things set up and give me the advice I needed to lay down a nice coat(s) of paint.
Now I will sand the paint with 1500 grit and buff.
